Things That You Need To Know When Taking Alesse

Alesse can be considered as hazardous for women who are pregnant because it has the ability to cause birth defect. Immediately inform or seek consultation from a certified physician if starting to show symptom of pregnancy or missing two menstrual periods in a row.

If planning to start on controlling pregnancy right after giving birth, provide time at least 4 weeks, but if you are breast feeding the appropriate time frame would be 6 weeks.  Alesse has the effect to slow down breast milk production and the hormones can be passed through breast feeding. It is prohibited to consume Alesse if having these health problems, history of stroke or blood cloth, symptoms related to diabetes, abnormal vaginal bleeding, liver related problem (cancer / disease), severe high blood pressure and migraine, heart valve disorder, and history of jaundice due to birth control pills.

It is also advisable to seek consultation with your physician, if you are suffering from high blood pressure, heart disease, history of heart attack, high cholesterol, overweight, suffering from depression, diabetes, epilepsy, irregular menstrual cycles, tumors and cancers.

Like any other medications, Alesse also have side effects, it normally occurs as unwanted response towards the medication in normal dosage. The side effect can be mild or severe, temporary or permanent but not everyone will experience the side effect, only those who are sensitive towards the medication in which it has been identify at least 1 %. Most of the side effects are manageable, or may go away on their own over time.
